Based in Stockport, I split my working life between two things I care about: building for the web, and getting people out into the mountains.

On the web

Over a decade building complex web platforms for SMEs and enterprise clients. I'm a Senior Web Developer at R3 Agency, leading projects across e-commerce, SaaS and regulated industries and championing AI-augmented workflows.

Before that I founded Huddle Digital and ran it for ten years, growing a team of six and shipping membership platforms, learning systems and SaaS products on Laravel, Vue and React.

In the mountains

I'm a qualified Mountain Leader and Rock Climbing Instructor, and I run redfell: small-group hill days, single-pitch climbing and navigation skills in the Peak, the Lakes, Eryri and Scotland.

Years of climbing have taken me up Mont Blanc and Gran Paradiso, onto ice in Norway and volcanoes in Ecuador. Most weekends I'm on gritstone with Karabiner Mountaineering Club in Manchester.
